MAGNETHANE™ - PE is an FDA approved UHMW (Polyethylene) that is specially compounded with the same magnetic signature properties as other of MAGNETHANE™ products. MAGNETHANE™ PE is much more abrasion resistant than steel, shows no cold embrittlement, works in environments from -155ºF to + 200ºF. and has a self lubricating effect that is very helpful for high friction applications. It is also highly wear and impact resistant and can be used on many types food processing and packaging machinery. It is easily machined and exhibits low moisture absorption.

The magnetic signature of this plastic, will allow it to be “seen” by most metal detection and X-Ray devices used on packaging and production lines. The mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance properties remain unchanged in comparison to standard UHMW plastics.

Typical Applications include:
Wear Strips * Bushings * Bearings * Guides
Scraper Blades * Pillow Blocks * Slide Gates * Rollers

MAGNETHANE™ - PE is available in flat stock and round stock.

The information contained herein are typical values intended for reference and comparison purposes only. It should NOT be used as a basis for design specifications or quality control. All values at 73°F (23°C) unless otherwise noted.
